Oak Black Clock
Oak Black Clock
Solid oak wall clock with black epoxy. Natural cracks and bends enclosed in a perfect circle. They are equipped with a silent mechanism that will not disturb your sensitive dream. Our watches are handmade from premium black resin, carefully selected golden oak. Size: round clock 30.5 cm, thickness 22.5 so that the silent mechanism is recessed into the clock's corus and it fits to the wall as much as possible.
What you see now in the photo is the result of a careful selection of oak blanks. Natural composition is what sets them apart from the rest. In order for a piece of wood to get to us at the clock, you need to be unrealistically harmonious.
After choosing a blank, I prepared it for a bay in a special shape (cut out the size and primed so that black resin does not seep into the pores of the tree). For potting, I use a premium epoxy resin that is UV resistant and extra resistant. After filling the mold with resin, it is placed in a vacuum chamber to remove bubbles from the resin. Within 3 days, the resin hardens and gains strength. After that, manual labor is already underway and I am not ashamed to say what was done with my hands. Excess resin is cut to a thickness of 22.5 mm, which allows the mechanism to be sunk in and the watch is completely adhered to the wall.
A groove for the mechanism is also cut out and then grinding with 80,100,120,180,240,320,400 grit sandpaper takes turns to a perfect surface. After manual processing and shaping into a perfect circle, the watch is painted with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of European quality varnish. After 2 days, when the paintwork has gained strength, we insert the mechanism inside. The mechanism was chosen in the same way in a special way. Ordinary watches often interfere with my sleep with their ticking and my goal is to find a quiet, reliable mechanism. Having tried 17 copies, I found what I needed.
